This is one of the most interesting reports that is coming out from Universal Orlando Resort today in which they are testing a personal service robot by Savioke. Savioke is a manufacturing company based out of San Jose, CA in the Silicon Valley that specializes in robot engineering towards hotel hospitality, elder citizens, restaurants, and offices. Current hotel companies such as Hilton Hotels & Resorts, Marriott, and InterContinental Hotels & Resorts are some examples that are in use of these personal service robots and name of the robots are called “Relay” and has completed over 90,000 autonomous deliveries.
“Relay” is undergoing testing at Universal’s Cabana Bay Beach Resort and that is something is like Rosie from Meet the Jetsons or your own personal service droid like R2-D2 or BB-8 from Star Wars. Universal Orlando Resort tweeted out a pretty funny tweet shown down below and which this robot can deliver food, snacks, or whatever you want without interacting with a human being. Other items if you forgot to bring towards your vacation destination like shampoo, mouthwash, cologne, deodorant or whatever you need that, this robot can do it!
