Disney’s Hotel New York-The Art of Marvel as it was previously announced at the last D23 Expo in 2017 for this complete hotel transformation has been in development for some time now. Some of the details were shared briefly at this year’s D23 Expo last month but, today more details were shared in depth at Disneyland Paris’s media expo today.
Celebrating Marvel’s 80th anniversary in fashioned storytelling in a typical New York setting with a contemporary Art Deco style in which the hotel is inspired by a New York art gallery. Paying homage to the city that is home to many iconic Marvel Super Heroes and artists who created them.
This will also be the very first Disney hotel in where guests can have heroic encounters with famous Marvel super heroes in a special location called, “Super Hero Station”. This will be the first Disney hotel is host some of your favorite Marvel Super Heroes each morning for meet and greets.
The hotel reopens Summer 2020 and will be the very first hotel dedicated towards the art and celebration of Marvel, that invites guests towards the largest collections of Marvel artwork in world that will be viewable publicly.
Disneyland Paris’s collaboration with Marvel Comics and Studios with more than 50 artists in help creating more than 300 pieces of art for the hotel including; comic book covers, illustrations from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, posters, original sketches, storyboards posters, and much more to be featured in the redesign of the hotel.
Here’s a breakdown of what you can expect when you stay at Disney’s Hotel New York-The Art of Marvel:
Empire State Club Rooms-
Completely redesigned rooms with an updated modern feel towards it with Marvel art in each of the guest rooms and with Iron Man himself. The suites will be themed towards the Avengers and Spider-Man.
Guests staying in the Club and Suite rooms will get to enjoy exclusive services and amenities in where for example a reception area and access towards the Empire State lounge for a private and relaxing atmospheric breakfast.
Manhattan Restaurant-
The restaurant will be an updated table seating service that, will be featuring a chandelier inspired by Asgard that is Thor’s home as a palace. Featuring flavors inspired by family-owned Italian trattoria that will serve fresh and local products.
Downtown Restaurant-
Serving American dishes with culinary flavors of Chinatown and Little Italy through cosmopolitan New York. A variety selections of Marvel-inspired specialties and also the walls will have 90 displayed sketched portraits featuring some of your favorite Marvel Super Heroes.
Skyline Bar-
Offering views and the skyline of New York that will be a martini bar and guests can also select different cocktails and fine wines with other surprises in store.
Lounge Bar-
Inspired from Manhattan of a loft type of style that will be serving up biodynamic wines, crafted beers from breweries and much more.
The other amenities the hotel will also include as well such as:
- Metro Health Club – a fitness center equipped with machines and sports accessories, along with various outdoor sports activities.
- Marvel Design Studio – this will be a dedicated space for kids to learn in how to draw their favorite Marvel heroes that are inspired by the workshops where the comics are created.
- Metro Pool – an indoor and outdoor pool complex with a jacuzzi, sauna, and Turkish bath.
The New York Boutique in which will offer a selection of Marvel collectible products and merchandise for any fan of Marvel or the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Guests can start book Disney’s Hotel New York-The Art of Marvel starting on November 5th, 2019 with its opening some point in Summer 2020.
