It’s no surprise that the hottest attraction in town for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance at Disney’s Hollywood Studios for Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is the most popular and most highly technological advanced attraction that Walt Disney Imagineering and Lucasfilm Ltd., have assembled together. The attraction opened up last month at Walt Disney World and the only way for guests to ride it, is by joining boarding groups (virtual queue system) and guests have been getting up at crazy early hours of the morning just to able to accomplish their mission for the Resistance.

The boarding groups have making it very difficulty hard to ride Rise of the Resistance and this is just focus on “regular boarding groups” before they sell out. Once they do then Disney releases the backup boarding groups and those were gone today. Since Disney hasn’t announced of when Fastpasses will be distributed or if they will anytime soon, the virtual queue system is a complicated system as so many guests want to able to ride this attraction as it’s pretty much first come, first come serve basis before the park opens up for it’s operations.
This morning for instance and being reported by WDWNT as it show’s down below for which boarding groups were gone quicker than the jump to lightspeed for the distribution of boarding groups.
The way how you join the boarding groups is through the Walt Disney World official app on your smartphone as so many guests were refreshing the app every second and minute they could to secure a spot for their boarding groups. A new record was achieved for selling out the boarding groups as of yesterday it was 60-90 seconds and now today, it was sold out within 90 seconds.

Going forward it will be hard to say if this system that Disney implemented will be improved on and not to mention Rise of the Resistance opens really soon for Disneyland on January 17th, 2020 and taking the feedback of the current operations status from Walt Disney World. Stay tuned for updates and details when it opens up for Disneyland Resort.
Suggestion is to show way early before park opening at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and so far it’s like hitting a lottery ticket much similar of what Tokyo Disney Resort does for their popular attractions.
