Just a small detail that also came out of the D23: Destination D Amazing Adventures event today that Chairman Bob Chapek of the Walt Disney World Parks & Resorts confirmed that the famous and original Tower of Terror will be kept the same of it’s Twilight Zone theme and to remain Marvel free.
Reason doing so it is because of the Marvel and Universal contract of which that, certain Marvel IPs and properties cannot be used in the central Florida area in Orlando. When the announcement from this summer at San Diego Comic Con was made for the upcoming Guardians of The Galaxy: Mission Breakout! attraction and fans of the classic attraction were speculating and upset that it was was going to take over both towers between the West and East coasts of the Disney Parks.
With the contract being the separation and the major player between California and Florida that the contract only applies in Orlando versus not applying in Anaheim in Disney California Adventure. So in all good news Disney’s Hollywood Studios will still have classic Rod Serling and the 4th dimension that lies within the Tower of Terror.
