Tonight just wrapped up a new and historical one night only event at Epcot where Spaceship Earth had a map projection-overlay of the Death Star from the popular franchise for Star Wars and the promotion for the upcoming Rogue One: A Star Wars Story coming to theaters this December 16th, 2016.
During course of the livestream since I was not their in person that, some new announcements for everything Star Wars and Rogue One that fans can expect coming soon at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Since the Star Wars expansion at the park is coming down the pipeline that this a good marketing and promotional push with the IP franchise within Disney’s Hollywood Studios since we all know that the franchise is going to be with us for a very quite amount of time. So anyways here are some of the announcements that were made from tonight at Epcot during the Rogue One event.
First off the new Republic AWR (Advanced Weapons Research) Stormtroopers in there fierce and solider black armor can be expected very soon in a new scene for the current and ongoing stage show for “Star Wars: A Galaxy Far, Far Away” during the daytime.

Also at Star Wars Launch Bay will be adding of different props and costumes from Rogue One that will include different items like a “Shoretrooper Blaster, Director Krennic’s Imperial Shuttle, a Death Star model, a U-wing gunship and more. Making-of footage will also be added to the the behind-the-scenes film in Launch Bay Theater. Similar updates can also be found at Star WarsLaunch Bay in Disneyland park in California.” according towards the Disney Parks Blog. With also adding towards the announcement line up of the popular firework show for “Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular” that will be joining the new holiday addition of fireworks of “Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM!” as a second nighttime showing starting December 16th-December 31st. Park times of this nighttime entertainment should be checked during your visit.
Of course in Disney standard tradition that a dessert party will be offered in which guests can look forward towards next year in 2017 that, “Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular Dessert Party will be returning back that be offering food and beverage items such as “Star Wars-themed cupcakes, cookies, brownies and a selection of savory snacks including cheese and flatbread and dip (as well as alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages). The night ends with special VIP viewing for the night’s “Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular.” from the Disney Parks Blog and more information about VIP Booking can be founded here.
For fans of Star Tours for the new-upcoming Star Tours: The Adventure Continues will be starting up mid-December and be offered “randomized beginnings” instead of starting on Planet Jakku for this new experience. Information can be founded here that was announced during the D23 Destination D: Amazing Adventures event couple weeks ago at the Contemporary Resort at Walt Disney World.
The last part of information that was the most inserting part during the end of the event that was announced for a 7 hour tour that will be offered and yes, that is correct a 7 hour Star Wars tour within Disney’s Hollywood Studios! (Plan on this as a all day event when you plan your next Walt Disney World vacation). This ultimate tour with your fellow Star Wars guide is in works right now and here are some of the details that was shared on the blog about it:
“This seven-hour guided tour will be led by a Star Wars “all-in-the-know” tour guide that will include: a journey on Star Tours – The Adventures Continue; an opportunity to participate in Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple (for guests age 4-12); a guided exploration of Star Wars Launch Bay, dinner at a quick-service restaurant featuring Star Wars-themed items; the Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular Dessert Party; fireworks viewing and more.” Information and confirmation for this ultimate Star Wars tour hasn’t been released yet but, stay tuned and keep checking towards the Disney Parks Blog for more about it when the time comes.
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is soon to hit theaters this coming December 16th, 2016 and for myself I will be their opening night for this first ever independent film towards the main Star Wars cinematic canon.
