When I heard about this announcement made today from the official Universal Orlando Blog and knowing it’s once again that time of year for next year for the annual Harry Potter Celebration at Universal Orlando Resort held in January since 2012. Since I am big Harry Potter fanatic and been watching every livestream or keep to up date about the celebration on social media and knowing that this franchise will always hold a special place in my heart for many more celebrations to come at Universal Orlando.
Harry Potter Celebration first off will run from January 27th-January 29th 2017 and dates were different in the past celebrations in the month of January. If your not familiar with the Harry Potter Celebration it’s basically a mini Harry Potter convention held in the park at Universal Orlando in a nut shell pretty much.
The former cast of the franchise join there fans in different Q&A panels, demonstrations for kids, and admission into the panels and demonstrations is a first come-first served basis in which the 2017 Potter Celebration events will be announced later on for locations and times.

This year for joining the celebration is the talented Warwick Davis (Professor Flitwick and Griphook) and Matthew Lewis (Neville Longbottom) and which rest of the Harry Potter film talent cast will be announced later on. For last year’s Harry Potter Celebration was the cast film talent consisting of Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley), Bonnie Wright (Ginny Weasley), Matthew Lewis (Neville Longbottom), Evanna Lynch (Luna Lovegood), and Katie Leung (Cho Chang).

So I bet your dying to know for the details that was announced today for next year’s celebration at Universal Orlando Resort. First off let’s talk about the Harry Potter Expo which has been doubled in size with different booths and exhibits to give fans a deeper look into The Wizarding World Universe.
MinaLima
Graphic designers Miraphora Mina and Eduardo Lima recently finished production on the new feature film Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. This duo worked more then 10 years on the Harry Potter film franchise and making iconic Potter props that fans will recognize such as The Marauder’s Map, Daily Prophet and Hogwarts textbooks to be on display.
Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter
Fans will relive the magic through the eyes of the filmmakers who brought the Harry Potter film series to life. With real authentic sets, props, and costumes that were used during filming of the franchise with a mini interactive tour experience to see behind the scenes in what went into the making of Harry Potter.
Harry Potter: The Exhibition
Are you a Gryffindor or a Slytherin? A Hufflepuff or perhaps a Ravenclaw? If you know this drill and becoming a new student at Hogwarts for the beginning of each school year that students be will placed in there houses by the Sorting Hat at the exhibition.
Scholastic
Celebrate Harry Potter at Scholastic’s booth by signing the “Muggle Wall” and testing your knowledge of the Harry Potter books at the Trivia Challenge. Fans will also be treated to a meet & greet and signing with Mary GrandPré, famed illustrator for the Harry Potter books.
Pottermore
If you’re eager to discover more about J.K. Rowling’s Wizarding World, Pottermore has a surprise in store for fans attending this year’s celebration. Pottermore and Audible will be their all weekend long and inviting there fellow Wizarding Witches and Wizards towards the Audible Recall, the ultimate audio challenge to see who knows the Wizarding World inside and out.
Warner Bros. and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment
With Daydream View, Google’s newly launched virtual reality headset, you can experience the magic of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them in VR. Wave a wand (via a Daydream controller) to solve puzzles and meet a few of the beasts in Newt’s case. For Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment that, a magical adventure awaits in the LEGO Dimensions experience, where you’ll be able to explore the Wizarding World and be the first to play as Hermione Granger! Guests will also be given the opportunity to participate in special giveaways and contests.

Learn Wand Combat Skills with Paul Harris

Stories from Harry Potter: The Exhibition
The Exhibition has the unique privilege of bringing a selection of some of the best known authentic props used to create the entire film series to fans in cities close to home. Each and every real element on display within the exhibition has a story. Eddie Newquist, creator of the exhibition, will be joined by Pierre Bohanna, head prop-maker from the films to tell stories of how these props and costumes were selected for the exhibition and about their histories.

Miraphora Mina and Eduardo Lima of MinaLima will share how their paths crossed at the WB film studios in London while working for 10 years on the Harry Potter movies, and more recently on Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. They will show some of the iconic props they created, such as The Marauder’s Map, the Daily Prophet , The New York Ghost, MACUSA Wand Permit and more. Additionally, they will talk about their involvement in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Diagon Alley.
Now if these details don’t excite or amp you up for next year’s Harry Potter Celebration then you should defiantly not miss this golden chance and opportunity in going! One other thing that was mention on the official Universal Orlando blog that “Also coming to this year’s event is Harry Potter trivia and a Fan Art Walk where you can contribute your artist skills to a chalk art gallery that will be on display throughout the entire event.”
