Time to save up your golden coins, star power, and super mushrooms Nintendo fans because today that we got more information about details about the upcoming Nintendo expansion at Universal Studios Japan. First off what we know it will be called Super Nintendo World (possibly if this is the real licensed name) instead of in my opinion Nintendo Land where it’s a simple and bland name for the popular gaming company.
The expansion will be just time around the 2020 Tokyo Summer Games in Japan for the cost of 50 billion yen (around $433 million USD) and more then the amount of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter project of Diagon Alley at Universal Orlando Resort.
The gaming IP will be the first open in Japan in the Osaka area and then with the other Universal Parks in Hollywood and Orlando that was announced a couple weeks ago on November 29th, 2016 coming later on with there own designed versions. The plans of this expansion are already set aside and with a pre-existing parking area as well too for fan favorite classic Nintendo games.
“Super Nintendo World will be comprised of expansive and multilevel environments filled with unprecedented, state-of-the-art rides, interactive areas, shops and restaurants, all featuring Nintendo’s most popular characters and games.” from the official news release at Universal Studios Japan about details released about the upcoming Super Nintendo World.
Now after searching the web and researching more about this topic about the next licensed project for Universal Parks for “possible patent ideas” that could be Nintendo related. Examples like “Drift Racer”, “Simulator Ride”, “Boom Coaster etc mentioned in this link that could be new and exciting attractions for many Nintendo fans that can look forward too.
Patent idea for code name “Drift Racer” and chances or not could be Nintendo related?
The great partnership between Game Designer and Producer and Creator of Mario, Shigeru Miyamoto and Mark Woodbury, President of Universal Creative that “Super Nintendo World will feature characters and themes from the “Super Mario” series, which has continued over the years to win the hearts of devoted fans around the world. The attraction area will also feature a variety of other globally popular Nintendo characters.”
Not only this expansion of Super Nintendo World is going be a large chunk of change coming out of Universal’s pocket but, it’s going to be beneficial and help support of the Japanese economic and job market. Estimate to create around in 1.1 million jobs after it opens, economic benefits within the Kansai area of Japan around 6.2 trillion Yen ($539 billion USD) and 11.7 trillon yen (around $101 billon) as a whole for Japan.
Super Nintendo World from this announcement today was a early Christmas present towards Nintendo fans from all across the world and telling by from this piece of concept area will mainly focus on the theme of realms and worlds of Mario. With castles of Princess Peach from the Mushroom Kingdom and Bowser in the background, Toad and Princess Peach herself as potential meet and greet interaction towards Universal guests, and one of the levels from the game of Super Mario too. If there was something that wasn’t mentioned in post about this concept art, leave it down in the comments section below.
