For the last piece of news and details for the Disneyland Resort, in which were a ton of announcements that were announced today at the Disney Parks & Resorts panel with Chairman Bob Chapek. Starting up in 2018, more of your favorite Pixar stories will come to life at Disney California Adventure with the brand new “Pixar Pier”.

“Pixar Pier will feature a brand-new look for the area now known as Paradise Pier, as some of your favorite characters come to life on this seaside waterfront. You will discover whimsical neighborhoods filled with your friends from “The Incredibles,” “Inside Out” and even more of your pals from “Toy Story.” Building upon the evolution of Disney California Adventure park that began in 2007, we are building more new worlds for you to step into and enjoy your favorite stories.”

This will be taking over the Paradise Pier as a permanent addition towards the park and will open up during a limited-time engagement, taking place throughout the Disneyland Resort called “Pixar Fest!”. The magical worlds of Pixar that guests can experience in brand new and immersive ways, comes to life with your favorite and memorable Pixar characters. The Pixar Play parade will be swapped out for the ever popular, “Paint the Night” in going towards Disney California Adventure and Pixar Play will be going towards Disneyland.
The panel did tease a brand new float but, no details haven’t been confirmed yet for what they are for “Paint the Night” of this amazing nighttime spectacular. More details will be shared in the coming months before the “Pixar Pier” takes over next year.
