“Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway” will be utilizing the use of what Disney is calling it as “2 1/D” without the use of 3-D glasses and they haven’t given an official opening date of when the attraction will be opening up at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Both “The Great Movie Ride” and “Universe of Energy” were the last opening day attractions at the Walt Disney World Resort, and Universe of Energy will be replaced by an “untitled” Guardians of Galaxy attraction that will be opening up just before Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary.

“The Great Movie Ride” served as a long 28-year run when Disney’s MGM Studios opened up in May 1989 for all Disney Parks fans all across the world to cherish and preserved of how movies are represented as classic years of Hollywood’s cinematic history. As some are okay and some are not totally sold of the new style of animation for world pop-culture icon for Mickey Mouse but, Mickey has never a single attraction since the day he was born by the visionary and creative talent of Walt Disney himself. The Disney Parks are always on the push for change and change can be difficult and hard to accept for some of those individuals of the found memories of where it all started on day one.

To me, I have total faith and confidence of what the teams over at Walt Disney Imagineering are brewing up and the motive philosophy of what Walt Disney believed in which he embraced changed and things shouldn’t be considered in being sacred to be thought of and persevered like a museum. We are living in time period as theme park fans in which the technology and concept for certain use of IPs as theming are now a new-era for us and we are right now living on the roadmap that will be just in time before Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary for all the overhaul of attractions.
