This year at the Disneyland Resort will be the year of Pixar taking over at both Disneyland and Disney California Adventure. New released information coming out from the D23 Expo Japan hosted by Chairman Bob Chapek of the Walt Disney Parks & Resorts gave some new updated details in regards towards the Pixar Pier transformation at Disney California Adventure.
The announcement was made last year back in November of the period of where Paradise Pier will become Pixar Pier. Disney have now officially announced that the opening date for Pixar Pier will be on June 23rd, 2018 of a brand new and re imagined park with neighboring areas of Pixar stories, themed attractions, food and merchandise and entering a brand new marquee with the famous Pixar lamp that will be added later in the year.

Also opening up in June and the opening of the “Incredicoaster” that is a combination of character figures, lighting and special effects, that will bring the Parr family to race alongside you!
As mention for earlier from last year in which the popular nighttime spectacular of “Paint the Night” will be moving next door towards Disney California Adventure that was first introduced from the Disneyland 60th Diamond Celebration in 2015. The new float will introduce “The Incredibles” featuring Mr. Incredible, Elastigirl and Frozone.
“This new float will bring all of the fun and excitement of the Incredibles’ world to life with high-tech, pop-art effects inspired by the mid-century-modern style of the films. Dynamic and innovative visual technology will also bring Violet, Dash and Jack-Jack to life, showcasing their powers in surprising ways!”

“Paint the Night” will make its debut at Disney California Adventure with the Pixar Fest Celebration opening before Pixar Pier on April 13th, 2018 at the Disneyland Resort.
