Grab your favorite Eggo waffles, bikes, and your group of friends because the Netflix original of “Stranger Things” is coming towards this year’s Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Parks & Resorts. These locations will be featured at Hollywood, Orlando, and also Universal Studios Singapore. This intellectual property is one of the biggest shows on the platform of Netflix with ratings of a 94% on Rotten Tomatoes for both Season 1 and Season 2 and over a 8.4 rating on IMBD. The premiere of Season 2 drew in more than 15 million viewers within the first three days of its release that debuted last year in November with binge watchers of 361,000 viewers of all nine episodes within the first 24 hours of it’s release.
The property has been heavily rumored for a while now to bring it towards one of the world’s biggest Halloween event at Universal Parks & Resorts for its 28th year this year and today in which Universal announced those details for “Stranger Things” and here are those details.
Universal’s collaboratively with Netflix, with the creators executive producers of the highly popular series of Matt Duffer, Ross Duffer, and Shawn Levy that will showcase the Upside Down world of an authentic and recreation of “Stranger Things”. This will take guests through scenes and story-lines of Season 1 as part of fans favorite moments from the show.
“We’re very excited to be working closely with Netflix – to give our guests an immersive experience into the “Stranger Things” world by recreating some of the show’s most iconic scenes, 80’s settings, and most loved characters (#RIPBarb)”, according towards Universal Show Director, Patrick Braillard.
Memorable locations from the show for the maze will include, Hawkins National Laboratory, under the U.S. Department of Energy, the Byers’ family home with the Christmas lights and the Upside Down woods with those orb-like spores pouring out with ooze. Guests will also come in contact with the iconic Demogorgon so, prepare yourself with a creature that is out of from this world too!
There is no mention as of right now if this will be an American Horror Story scenario like the series did for Halloween Horror Nights in 2016 and 2017 as a multi-season deal and will apply for “Stranger Things” for Universal and Netflix’s contract partnership for a multi-season deal since this year will be focusing on Season 1.
This is the first IP maze out of nine being reported for the event this year that begins this September 14-November 3rd, 2018 at Universal Studios Hollywood, Orlando, and Singapore. Tickets are on sale right now by visiting their site here and blog updates as well too.
