If you’re attending this weekend’s opening for the nation’s premiere Halloween event for Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Orlando Resort and doing all the running around from the haunted houses and scare zones, will certainly make you want to relax and refuel you’re stomach.
Thankfully with the talented and creative culinary folks over at Universal Orlando will defiantly make you want to sink you’re fangs into these food items that they just released and what you can expect when you make you’re visit at the event.
Here’s some of the food and beverage items for this year’s Halloween Horror Nights 28′.
Stranger Things fanatics will go sugar crazy over this inspired waffles filled with layers of whipped cream, chocolate, peanut butter morsels, and jelly beans.
The Strawberry Shortcake will be located in the San Francisco Bakery that is with two waffles, fresh chopped strawberries, strawberry sauce and whipped cream. The Banana’s Foster will also be located in the San Fran Bakery as well with two waffles that is topped with banana cream cheese and hazelnut spread, raisins, walnuts, whipped cream, and banana’s foster sauce.
For more waffle goodness! This Waffle Ice Cream Pocket Sundae that will be located at Louie’s Gelato Window will serve as the ultimate ice cream sandwich at this year’s event. 2 chocolate chip waffles that is stuffed with strawberry ice cream, topped off with whipped cream, chocolate sauce, caramel sauce, sprinkles, chopped peanuts, and finished off a cherry!
Christmas Tree Light Cupcakes will probably make you’re Instagram followers brag in the comments section below and you can probably guessed it by now from that one iconic scene from the Netflix mega-hit series from Stranger Things.
11 (pun intended) mini donuts that is drizzled in of red frosting and you can choose between powered sugar or cinnamon donuts to devour you’re mouth in this sugary goodness item.
Now if you want really good food and be sure to stop by Benny’s Burgers that is named after the diner in Stranger Things in the New York area of the park. Here they will serve up cheeseburgers, hamburgers, chicken sandwiches and served with a side of fries.
Also making a comeback is Fiery Onion Ring Burger at Mel’s Die-In, the Chili Garlic Chicken Sandwich at Richter’s in the San Francisco area of the park, and as a staple Halloween Horror Nights food classic of Pizza Fries.
Now to wash down all that tasty food will be of course the event’s signature beverage items with a uniquely designed souvenir cup.
- Totally L.I.T. (Long Island Iced Tea) – Vodka, tequila, gin, rum with triple sec, lime, sour and Coca-Cola
- Wicked Rad Punch – Blueberry vodka, raspberry vodka, triple sec, lemonade and grenadine
- Gnarly Twist – A perfect sweet and sour combo of both the Wicked Rad Punch and Totally L.I.T.
You can find these items scattered throughout the streets of Universal Orlando at the event’s drink tents with a wide variety of beer and wine options. You can visit full bar’s at Chez Alcatraz and Finnegan’s for your mixed drinks choices.
Non-alcoholic beverages will be served as well and that you’ll find in the New York area at the Gramercy Popcorn stand and the food and drink stand near the front entrance of Universal Studios. The beverages will be also served during the day as well and also on top of that and will be exclusive Coke Freestyle flavors that are only at Halloween Horror Nights, as well as wide variety of mugs including the all-new Frequent Fear mug.
But wait! Before you enter or leave the park at Universal Orlando and make sure you swing by Voodoo Doughnut at Universal CityWalk to grab the new Halloween Horror Nights doughnut that will be served throughout the course of the event!
A yeast-raised doughnut with raspberry Bavarian cream, cookie crumble dirt and green grass sprinkles. Annual Passholders can purchase the doughnut first with a valid ID from Sept. 10-13. AP discounts will apply.
