Everyone this weekend and for the upcoming Christmas holiday is going out and seeing Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker in theaters for the final chapter of the Skywalker trilogy. However though, for at the Disney Parks at the Disneyland Resort in which for the guest favorite overlay for Space Mountain, “Hyperspace Mountain” will be removing the overlay on January 7th, 2020 and reverting back towards the classic Space Mountain attraction.
The attraction is expected to return a few days later according towards Disneyland officials.
The Star Wars overlay for Space Mountain was first introduced during the 2015 Season of the Force event that led up towards the new first chapter of Skywalker trilogy for Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Show scenes of X-Wings, Starfighters and even the Millennium Falcon soar by on the interior walls of Space Mountain as riders race through the dark.
