Disney’s Animal Kingdom will be celebrating a big year this for the upcoming 50th anniversary of Earth Day and the 25th anniversary of the Disney Conversation Fund and will be hosting a multi-day event from April 18th-22nd, 2020 with special entertainment and things to do around the park. Earth Day is on April 22nd and when the park first opened up.

The multi-day event will be offering guests a packed line up of expert speakers, entertainment, behind the scenes tours, specialty food and beverage, limited-edition merchandise signings, character greetings, photo opportunities and more.
One of the offerings to be hosted at the park will be in the “Wild by Nature Speaker Series”, as you will get to hear from some of Disney’s Animal Kingdom’s animal expert speakers, educators and conservation “Heroes” at the park’s “Theater in the Wild”, learning about the ways Disney’s own conservation experts are working to save the planet and its wildlife.
National Geographic now being part of the Disney family will also be part of the celebration as well. Nat Geo Explorers and Photographers will share their stories from the front lines of their explorations as well as wildlife photography and video techniques showcasing what it takes to get all those stunning “never-before-seen” images and footage. They will join the outstanding roster of the Wild by Nature Speaker Series, and will debut National Geographic merchandise at Disney Parks that week as well.

Famous Disney Imagineer and who helped created Disney’s Animal Kingdom and Pandora: The World of Avatar, other than Joe Rohde himself! He will be taking part of the annual “Tiffins Talks” featuring a full on four-course meal and in-depth discussion on Joe’s research trips and personal exhibitions from a life dedicated to exploration. (Registrations for reservations will begin on February 18th)

Get a unique look for this year’s Disneynature films debuting on Disney+ in April, Elephant and Dolphin Reef, including discussions with Roy Conli, award-winning producer of the films.
Earth Day 2020 as mentioned is a big year for the 25th anniversary of the Disney Conversation Fund and as part of the celebration for the fund will showcase 25 global wildlife heroes, as many whom will present “Stories From the Field” and recount incredible moments in their line of work. It will be also sold in book format at the event to purchase inside of the park for these stories told in “Disney Conversation Legacy”, as special edition 25th anniversary book.
The Animation Experience at Conversation Station as guests can learn about Disney animators in bringing some of your favorite characters to life and using real life animals as source of inspiration. There will be plenty of specialty Disney characters featured during the Earth Day celebration!
For those who can’t make it out towards the park for Earth Day, and right at home for Disney’s Animal Kingdom will be one of the places featured in the global live television event “Born Wild: Earth Day Live” that will be simulcast on National Geographic and Nat Geo Wild on April 22nd, at 8:00 p.m. Eastern. This will feature National Geographic Explorers and leading ABC News anchors and correspondents embarking a journey into the most fascinating, breathtaking environments on our Planet Earth.
