Shanghai Disneyland Is Offering Halloween Some Wicked Fun Starting On October 5th

Shanghai Disneyland is bringing the Halloween season starting on October 5th through November 1st, 2020 for the spookiest season of them all with some new exciting events, Halloween parties, trick-or-treating locations, decorations and more. Disney is encouraging family and friends (as long it remains within the costume policy guidelines) with a two-day Halloween party starting on October 30th and 31st with character encounters, dance parties, live music and the return of specialty fireworks.

Selected Disney Villains will make occasional appearances on the Enchanted Storybook Castle balcony in the all-new Villain Balcony Walk, and as dusk falls every night for Donald’s Halloween treat cavalcade will return towards it’s parade route as a fan favorite Halloween-themed cavalcade with both Donald and Daisy Duck. The Disney Villains to be featured will be; Hades, Maleficent, Dr. Facilier and the Queen of Hearts with a backdrop of classic Halloween-themed Disney songs and a mesmerizing lightshow. Mickey, Minnie, Duffy and all of their friends will also be joining the cavalcade.

Treasure Cove for the fan popular “Ghost Pirates: A Trial of Darkness” and guests will be immersed within the pirate’s world in Shipwreck Shore and must be beware of the cursed crew! Also for some live entertainment for “This is Halloween!” dance party located at the Pepsi E-stage in Tomorrowland with a complete live DJ and host as guests will be invited on stage to join the fun and show off their creative costumes.

Over at Adventure Isle, where Miguel from Disney Pixar’s “Coco” will be themed towards the area and his hometown of Santa Cecilia will once again come to life from October 12th through November 8th.

With the overall success of last year’s Halloween Day Spectacular, for this year, the Halloween party is being extended to two whole days of frightful fun with the” Halloween Days of Spooktacular” on October 30th and 31st . Evening partygoers can head towards five different party zones dotted throughout Shanghai Disneyland complete with live DJs, pumping music and selfie spots with Disney Villains!

At the end of the final “This Is Halloween!” dance party for the evening, and for the guest who has the best creative costume will be redeemed the ultimate winner of the costume contest will be chosen, and will be invited to ride in the Grand Marshal vehicle at the front of the nighttime pre-parade. To cap off both evenings, guests will be able to marvel at the special Halloween Villains Fireworks Show, complete with a stirring soundtrack, Disney Villains projections, fire effects and plenty of fireworks.

Disneytown will still keep the Halloween spirit going for some wicked fun with costume parties, special trick-or-treat parades, and Halloween decor. Taking places on weekends (Friday’s-Sunday’s) from October 16th through November 1st (excluding October 30th & 31st), a Wicked Celebration Party will take place on the Lakeshore Lawn stage in Disneytown, where a chorus of dancers will spread Halloween energy, and selected guests can participate in a costume parade. Mickey and Minnie Mouse might show up for some Halloween fun!

Guests visiting Disneytown can also enjoy a Frightfully Fun Dance Party, complete with an amazing lightshow, energetic music, Disney dancers and with a live DJ in taking place every weekend.

From October 16th through November 1st, trick-or-treating takes place in Disneytown welcoming kids and their families to join an enchanting procession, where candy and surprises await. Guests can also take a stroll around the new Halloween Market to enjoy delicious Halloween-themed food and beverages, purchase Halloween crafts and gifts, and take part in creative Halloween DIY workshops.

From October 5th through October 30th, guests can purchase the Halloween Staycation package – available for a visit from October 8th through 31st on the Shanghai Disney Resort Official WeChat account and Official Fliggy store. Disney is offering another option for Shanghai which includes two park tickets, a one-night stay at one of the resort’s hotels accompanied by Halloween activities, breakfast for two or a breakfast coupon and dinner at the selected hotel.

Guests who prefer to experience the haunting Halloween fun after dark can enter the park after 15:00 with a half-day ticket, which will be available for purchase from September 25th through November 1st, and will be valid for a visit from September 26th through November 1st.
