Magic is in the air as Disney is gearing up for the big 50th anniversary celebration for Walt Disney World!
Now many fellow travelers know the famous MCO (Orlando International Aiport) is the way go and how you enter into Orlando. With so much excitement ahead as the folks over at the airport and with GOAA (Greater Orlando Aviation Authority) are hard at work to bring out some 50th anniversary flair.
Here’s what you can expect!
Beginning this fall as travelers will able soon to discover new Disney touches. Including a wide-spanning art installation in the terminal train stations featuring favorite Disney characters. Projected EARidescent light patterns with new magic that passengers can engage with, including a brand new photo-op as well. It will be a recreation of a Disney ride vehicle to capture special memories as they make their way through the airport.
As an update for MCO’s South Terminal Complex will be completed in 2022. The airport in working with GOAA will also be opening up a brand new Disney store on top of it.

We proudly recognize the outstanding accomplishment of our longtime partner as they celebrate this impressive 50th Anniversary milestone,” said Phil Brown, Chief Executive Officer of the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority. “Collaborating on a commemorative presence at Florida’s busiest airport means we get to be the first moment of celebration for guests flying into Orlando to be part of the spectacular fanfare.”
