Earlier this year as Disney announced that new villas are coming towards Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort And Spa to be fully reimagined. Looking ahead as new details and concept art were released and here’s what Disney Vacation Club members can expect.

Disney’s Grand Floridian & Spa is based off of 1890s Victorian era architecture and elegance as a favorite spot for fellow Disney Vacation Club members. This will be their home away from home that will be fully done for the renovations and modifications by summer 2022. The new resort studios will be located in the Big Pine building. It will feature two queen-size beds and a day bed to sleep up to 5 guests. The new rooms will feature a “beverage center” with a beverage cooler and coffee maker. The bathroom features a combination tub / shower with marble tile floors.

The new room upgrades have been dubbed as a “resort studio” instead of a traditional “Deluxe Studio Villa.” Most DVC Deluxe Studios feature one queen bed and a full-size sofabed, along with a kitchenette. Some resorts even include a pull-down twin size bed and a split bathroom configuration. The expansion will approximately 200 proposed resort studios to be part of the existing Grand Floridian Condominium Association with booking rights to all rooms and a contract expiration date of January 2070.
In the existing Deluxe Studio, One, Two and Three Bedroom villas are slated for refurbishment soon. Their will be additions including a pull-down Muphy Bed sofas, that are current at other Disney Vacation Club Walt Disney World hotel resorts.

For a longer stay as families that are staying at a one or two-bedroom villas will enjoy the comforts of home while staying at the resort. It will have accommodations to offer full kitchens and large living areas as well as added conveniences – like modern appliances, a farmhouse sink, and a washer and dryer. Living areas will feature a new pull-down queen-size bed along with a pull-down bunk-size bed that folds away to be hidden beneath the media center.

For larger families and bigger vacations, guests will enjoy plenty of room and comfort in the three-bedroom grand villa. These comfty accommodations will sleep up to 12 guests, with two bedrooms that include two queen-size beds each, along with a primary bedroom that features a king-size bed.
Three-bedroom grand villas also boast a dining area and expansive living room. Detailed accents in the rooms to include Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse Victorian-themed silhouettes and other artwork featuring Mary Poppins and Dumbo.
Minor updates to floor coverings, wall coverings and furnishings are expected to be completed for the DVC resort on it’s 8th anniversary, in October. Regular guests and Disney Vacation Club Members staying at Walt Disney World Resort properties, including Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, will enjoy 30-minute early entry to every theme park, every day starting October 1.
