Now that Walt Disney World Resort’s 50th anniversary has officially kicked off and so much new experiences, attractions and more that guests can look ahead during the 18-month celebration. The resort has brought back more than 50,000 cast members for returning back to work. Currently as more than 65,000 are working across the entire resort. Disney is committed to hire hundreds each week to open up more on-resorts and guest locations.

Some entertainment has came back such as “Let the Magic Begin” for early morning guests at Disney’s Magic Kingdom at Cinderella Castle Forecourt Stage. Randy Morris, as the ragtime piano player at Casey’s Corner at Main Street U.S.A. Over at Epcot, as entertainment was brought back such as Alberta Bound of the Canadian band at Canada, Sergio the juggler at the Italy pavilion, and the heart pounding and majestic percussion of the Taiko drummers of Matsuriza in Japan.
Now guests can look towards for some more entertainment that is coming back online, that was halted due towards the pandemic. Here’s what you can expect!
Starting next week at Disney’s Animal Kingdom as you can visit Asia can once again enjoy the music of Chakranadi, and Kora Tinga Tinga returns to the streets of Harambe in Africa. Also be on the look out for the Tam Tam Drummers to come back to Africa in early November. Performers will also soon be captivating guests strolling along the waterfront at Disney’s Boardwalk Resort, and the inimitable Yeehaw Bob will have his audience in stitches of fun starting October 14 in the River Roost Lounge at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside.
Cavalcades, motorcades, flotillas, and surprise sightings will still resume for guests favorite Disney characters. Even though Disney did share that “in person meet and greets” with your favorite characters isn’t back yet for hugs and autographs. However as you’ll be able to have individualized time with some of your favorite characters, getting to visit with them in a themed location and snap a photo or two. Look for the Disney Princesses to return to Princess Fairytale Hall in Magic Kingdom Park.

Over at Disney’s Hollywood Studios as Minnie Mouse at Red Carpet Dreams and the stars of Disney Junior Animation Courtyard will be returning back soon. Mickey Mouse will be backstage at Town Square Theater on Main Street, U.S.A. He will be in his all-new EARidescent look designed just for the Walt Disney World 50th anniversary celebration. Each of these locations is planned to start welcoming guests in November.
“Disney Movie Magic” is set to light up the Grauman’s Chinese Theater for it’s return on November 7th, as the cinematic nighttime experience that celebrates Disney’s live-action film legacy. Also guests can expect a new sequence from the live-action adapation of Disney’s Mulan. Finally as the most famous archaeologist in the world, as the cast and crew of “Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular”, is set to whip it’s way back on December 19th.
