Today is a exciting day to be a Halloween & Horror fan in which the Universal Orlando Resort just dropped the announcement for the return of Director and Writers Ryan Murphy & Brad Falchuk’s popular anthology series by FX Channel’s, American Horror Story for this year’s Halloween Horror Nights 27.
This is a follow up from last year’s event for the series premiere in which consisted of Seasons 1,4,&5-Murder House, Freak Show, and Hotel. The series is highly-claimed popular for the fan base similar towards AMC’s survivor and apocalypse series of The Walking Dead that has been around for the event for some quite some time now.
Fans have been wanting and demanding to see American Horror Story for the event for a while now but, at the time it wasn’t in the books to bring it towards the event because probably of licensing and contract fees and agreements. This year for HHN 27 will follow up the last three seasons for the series in which will be Seasons 2,3,&6-Asylum,Coven, and Roanoke.
American Horror Story was the largest “uber” house in use of one the soundstages and in which you can read a segment from a review of mine from last year’s Halloween Horror Nights 26 that can be read here.
Now here’s a breakdown of what frightening terrors and scares you’ll be facing at this year’s event from the series:
“In Asylum, travel through the decades of the notorious Briarcliff – evade Dr. Arden’s grotesque human “Rasper”experiments and come face to “face” with the serial killer, Bloody Face.”
“New Orleans aesthetics will surround, as you’re drawn into the wrath of descendants of the Salem witches and their unquenchable thirst for power in Coven.”
“And finally, relive the horrific story of the Millers in Roanoke – where you’ll be at the mercy of Piggy, the grisly Polk family and the ghosts of the blood moon.”
Halloween Horror Nights 27 is going to be incredible and over the next several months you’re going to be hearing from three talented (and equally twisted) members of my Creative Development Team, Show Directors Patrick Braillard, Charles Gray, and Blake Braswell. They will be announcing everything from houses to scare zones to show slates.
“We are thrilled to bring the incredible storytelling and iconic characters of ‘American Horror Story’ back to Halloween Horror Nights for a second year,” said Michael Aiello, Sr. Director of Entertainment Creative for Universal Orlando Resort. “Last year, ‘American Horror Story’ was the highest guest-rated haunted house in Halloween Horror Nights history – and we can’t wait to immerse our guests in all-new horrors from the show.”
It is also un certain or yet to be confirmed if Universal Studios Hollywood will be doing the same thing for American Horror Story like in Orlando since it was the number one guest-rated house for visitors. More information and updates will come if Universal Studios Hollywood will confirm and announce it for the anthology series for HHN 27 this year.
Tickets are on sale right now and Halloween Horror Nights 27 will be running for a record-breaking of selected dates from September 15 to November 4 at the Universal Orlando Resort. Other scares zones, houses, shows, and original houses are to be announced since the spring season is typically we see announcements to be teased and dropped.
