With the announcement for the Star Wars expansion coming towards the Disneyland Resort some point in 2019 in which numerous attractions and nighttime showings were put on hiatus for construction work.
Those attractions and areas are the Mark Twain Riverboat & Rivers of America, the Disneyland Railroad, Sailing Ship Columbia, Davy Crockett Canoes, and Tom Sawyer’s Island. The Disneyland Railroad has been rerouted over Rivers of America in making it more for shorter trips over the river and giving it a beautiful scenic view of the park and New Orleans Square by the northern bank of the river.
This also includes the classic Disney nighttime spectacular of Fantasmic! returning back this summer even though a date hasn’t been confirmed yet for the park. Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout! at Disney California Adventure will be next big attraction opening this summer on May 27th and same date for Pandora: The World of Avatar at Disney’s Animal Kingdom at the Walt Disney World Resort.
Fantasmic! is returning back better then ever with more brand new-scenes with Mickey Mouse and effects including new segments with Genie from Aladdin, Tangled, The Lion King, and Pirates of the Caribbean. The show has been rework but, staying true towards it’s roots for the show that everyone loves and cherish since it’s beloved by many Disneyland fans alike.
When Guardians of the Galaxy opens up that date and will also launch the “Summer of Heroes” limited time summer event till September 10th, 2017. This will introduce Marvel fan favorites such as: Black Widow, Captain America, Spider-Man, and also new will be Groot from the Guardians gang.
