Just a couple days after the grand opening of Guardians of The Galaxy: Mission Breakout! at Disney California Adventure will also be the transition from the Space Mountain layover of Hyperspace Mountain towards it’s original state of Space Mountain. This was a Star Wars layover that has been running since November 2015 and during the Fall and Halloween season of Ghost Galaxy too.
Space Mountain will return towards it’s original and classic status this June 1st, 2017 for it’s 40th anniversary in Tomorrowland at the Disneyland Resort. Space Mountain first opened up at the Walt Disney World at the Magic Kingdom in 1975 and Disneyland’s opened up two years later on May 27th, 1977 for guests taking upon a intergalactic adventure through the cosmos.
