Disney fans have eagerly waited a whole year for the return of their favorite classic attractions and nighttime showings at the Disneyland Resort due towards the hiatus construction of the Star Wars expansion.
Just as a quick recap of what was on hiatus and it was “Fantasmic!”, Rivers of America attractions, and the Disneyland Railroad even with the new direction of the track of where the railroad will be in use of the park over Rivers of America. Now the Disney Parks Blog have officially announced dates of when those attractions and nighttime fan favorite show is coming back this summer.
“Fantasmic!” has been running for the past 25 years in the realm of Mickey Mouse’s imagination that will return this July 17th, 2017 just the day after the D23 2017 Expo and Disneyland’s 62th anniversary.
This will bring more magic and updated map projections throughout the course of the show of it’s original theme song, characters, and moments that guests of the park have cherish for years. It will be state of the art map projection technology for more higher quality and contrast visuals that will include Disney classic animated films such as “Aladdin”, and “The Lion King”.

Rivers of America attractions including Tom Sawyer’s Island that opens tomorrow for Friday, June 16th, 2017 followed up by the Mark Twain Riverboat, Sailing Ship Columbia, Davey Crockett Canoes on July 29th, 2017.
“The return of these watercraft will bring even more breathtaking views for guests to discover, including an enhanced adventure featuring the new Columbia Gorge section, highlighted by five picturesque waterfalls.”
The Disneyland Railroad has been a staple icon since opening day from Walt Disney himself as guests take a tour of Walt’s original magic kingdom. Also Walt Disney’s famous dioramas of the Grand Canyon and Primeval World have been restored towards their original state, with more magic added towards the mix.
