Life…finds a way. Universal Studios Hollywood just broke out the news today for their Jurassic Park: The Ride will be getting a major update and transitioning from “Jurassic Park” towards Jurassic World. As the sequel blockbuster release for Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom hits theaters later this summer will be aligned towards the current film release for a whole update and updated attraction.
Steven Spielberg’s 1993’s sci-fi and adventure blockbuster classic started a multi-billion dollar franchise and bringing guests right up close with audio-animatronic dinosaurs and cutting edge technology in 1996 for the ride.
Here’s what you can expect for the new Jurassic World attraction that will reopening some point next year.

“This next-generation thrill ride will be a fully reimagined iteration of the groundbreaking adventure, elevating every facet of the experience,” a press release says of the new attraction, called “Jurassic World Ride.” “With the introduction of never-before-seen dinosaurs, enhanced storytelling, lush scenic design, an entirely new color scheme, and uncompromised state-of-the-art technology, the ride will capture elements never experienced within a theme park.”
You can able to ride “Jurassic Park: The Ride” until September 3rd, 2018 as the last day of operation before it becomes extinct! Also to note as well in which the Jurassic Cove restaurant and Jurassic Outfitters will close as well with the attraction and making way for “Jurassic World: The Ride”.
Universal Studios Hollywood is also kicking off a Jurassic Park event for the fans of the franchise called, “Countdown to Extinction” this weekend and will be doing giveaways, exhibits, special guests, and a special screening of the original film.
