Miral CEO Gives An Update For SeaWorld Abu Dhabi To Open In 2022

It’s been a while since the last time we learned the last update for SeaWorld’s Middle Eastern park being built in Abu Dhabi at Yas Island. Mohamed Abdalla Al Zaabi as Miral’s CEO has confirmed the project is on track to be completed in 2022. The Yas Island is mostly responsible under Miral’s development and management, as one of the world’s fastest leisure and entertainment destinations for it’s growth. This year as Miral will be celebrating it’s 10th anniversary.

The company has added several major attractions towards the island since 2011 that is home towards Ferrari World, Yas Waterworld, Warner Bros Abu Dhabi and CLYMB Abu Dhabi.

Yas Island is making progress to be contactless through facial recognition technology called “FacePass”.

“It will drive the personalisation of experiences. Miral has pursued digital transformation, embracing the latest technologies. The pandemic further accelerated this. Yas Island is on track to become a fully contactless destination through FacePass, and in the future, the digital and the physical will merge even more to create newer and more exciting experiences. Only last week, we announced the Noor initiative, our data analytics strategy to be rolled out across all of our assets. Noor will help the company to deliver personalised experiences for our guests.”

With Miral’s upcoming projects including the Yas Island Waterfront and the Warner Bros Abu Dhabi Hotel. SeaWorld will still be part of those projects for 2022, even thought the exact date was not shared. Al Zaabi has said “it will be the next generation of SeaWorld” that will feature the world’s largest aquarium. The Yas SeaWorld Research and Rescue Center is “the first of its kind in the UAE”, he said.
