The Holiday Season Returns Back At Disneyland Paris With New Offerings And More

Even though the spooky season is still on going for Disneyland Paris ongoing now till November 7th, as the resort is looking ahead towards the holiday season. The resort will be offering some new entertainment, returning guest favorites and cuisine events.

“A Sparkling Christmas Season” at the resort takes place from November 13th, 2021 till January 9th, 2022. Here’s what guests can look towards for the festive time of year, and to close out the remainder of 2021.

New And Returning Entertainment

Previously as Disneyland Paris announced that The Lion King: Rhythms of the Pride Lands is set to return back on October 23rd. It will be also offering a paid service to give guests “guaranteed access” towards seeing this guest favorite show. In terms for the upcoming holiday season as guests can expect the return of Disney Illuminations on December 21st. Inside of the park, at Disneyland Paris as guests will be welcomed by a majestic tree glittering with a thousand lights on Main Street, U.S.A., leading them to Sleeping Beauty Castle. It will snow more than 12 times a day!

Guest favorite Disney characters will be dressed in their best holiday attire. Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy and Stitch, not to mention Santa Claus himself, to adding some of the magic of the season in both Disney Parks. A brand new holiday parade that has been in development for a while and is called “Mickey’s Dazzling Christmas Parade”.

The parade is composed of five gigantic floats, featuring not only Mickey and his friends, but also Disney Princesses and Santa Claus, accompanied by Tinkerbell. Each of these floats will represent an idyllic Christmas scene with traditional decorations and parade performers will be dressed in luminous costumes specially designed for the occasion.

“This new Parade is a surprise because there is a daytime version and it becomes a new show come nightfall with hundreds of thousands of lights that illuminate these floats and tell a new story.”

Holiday decor will be everywhere at both Disneyland Paris and Walt Disney Studios Park. Here’s the details of what they will be:

  • 7km of garlands in the two Parks and on the Christmas trees
  • 11,604 Christmas ornaments
  • 78 real Christmas trees
  • A majestic tree 24 meters high and 24 tons, with more than 1,000 decorative objects
  • More than 37,000 flowers planted over four days by the Horticulture teams
  • 200 new costumes were produced for Mickey’s Dazzling Christmas Parade

Holiday & Festive Food

A wide variety of seasonal dishes will be offered for the holiday season at the resort such as stuffed turkey or Christmas Yule Log as well. Vegan selections including pumpkin and chestnut soup or pan-fried spelt with asparagus and morel mushrooms. Guests can enjoy a selection of delicacies that are both tasty and utterly “Instagrammable,” such as Minnie’s Christmas tartlet, gingerbread trees, and “Olaf’choc’o’neige”. A hot beverage with banana puree and whipped cream. Even cocktails with or without alcohol in the colors of the holidays at resort bars.

The resort is offering for Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve for a dining experience called, “Chef’s Enchanting Festive Cuisine”. Two dates on December 24th and December 31st, with brunches on December 25th and Janurary 1st. This unique experience will invite guests to enjoy exceptional menus in the restaurants of Disney Parks and Disney Hotels. To celebrate the transition to the New Year, Guests who have booked a Chef’s Enchanting Festive Cuisine at Disneyland Park will also have access to the New Year’s Eve party to enjoy a selection of attractions and encounter Disney Characters.

Guests will have options to book a selection of rooms that will be decorated for the holidays and with surprise gift packages for both adults and kids for Christmas at Disney’s Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel and Disney’s Newport Bay Club.

Wide Variety Of Holiday Merchandise

Many stores at Disneyland Paris will be offering a wide selection of Christmas products including tree decorations, plush toys, electric trains, fashionable items and more. Iconic Christmas offerings which will arrive in Emporium, La Boutique du Château, Walt Disney Studios Store, World of Disney and Flora’s Unique Boutique throughout the holiday season.

The resort will be selling a new holiday spirit jersey, a festive Minnie ears headband, forest-inspired Christmas ornaments designed by the Disneyland Paris teams, a replica of the lead float from the new “Mickey’s Dazzling Christmas Parade” and more.

Health And Safety Protocols Update

Disneyland Paris did make some health and saftey changes towards the resort. As now some of the barriers at both park entrances and social distancing markers have been removed. Guests will still need to wear a mask and still need a health pass under the French goverment. Meet and greets with Disney characters are still “selfie spots” for the time being despite the changes.
