It’s hard to believe that The Walt Disney Company has big plans for their 100th anniversary and will be kicking off the party, at the Disneyland Resort in Late January 2023. As this will be a limited-time celebration taking place throughout the whole year. From newly platinum-infused décor, new sparkling looks for Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse and their pals, special food and beverage offerings, and so much more.
Two nighttime spectaculars are being developed for Disneyland and Disney California Adventure and here’s what Disney detailed.
World of Color-One:
“World of Color – One” is brand new addition in the whole history for this nighttime spectacular at Disney California Adventure. It will celebrate the storytelling legacy started by Walt Disney a century ago. A brand new story of how a single action, like a drop of water, creates a ripple that can grow into a wave of change. It brings some of the most courageous, loving and inspiring characters to life in new ways. The show will also feature a new original song, “Start a Wave.”
At Sleeping Beauty Castle at Walt’s original Magic Kingdom, as “Wonderous Journeys” will have genres of inspiration and ignite the wonder inside of us. This new nighttime spectacular will feature nods to all 60 Walt Disney Animation Studios films to date, taking us on a journey filled with artistry, music, storytelling and heart.
It will continue to build upon the park’s state-of-the-art projection effects, turning Main Street, U.S.A., Sleeping Beauty Castle, the façade of “it’s a small world” and the Rivers of America into an artist’s canvas that brings characters to life all around you as fireworks dance in the sky. “Wondrous Journeys” will also feature an incredible new song, “It’s Wondrous”.

Magic Happens Officially Returns:
The highly and long awaited brand new daytime parade, for “Magic Happens” is finally debuting at Disneyland Park in Spring 2023. The parade was shortly ran for some several weeks and stopped running it, when the pandemic hit and cause over a year long closure as the resort had it’s phased reopening in April 2021. It debut back in Spring 2020 previously shared from Disney.
The parade will be part of the 100th anniversary celebration festivities as many more details will be shared in the coming weeks and months ahead, before the kick off in Late January 2023.
