New Updates For Pixar Place Hotel And Downtown Disney District Announced At D23 Expo

Earlier this year back in April as Disneyland President, Ken Potrock at a presentation announced ” A State of Disneyland” and shared some brand new additions for their on-resort hotels and Downtown Disney District. As this will be huge on-going evolution for dining, entertainment, things to do and stay at it.

At the D23 Expo over the weekend it was confirmed to start off with that the Disney’s Paradise Hotel will be called “Pixar Place Hotel”. This will be reimagined theme of the hotel and creativity of the artistry based on the Pixar animation studio into its comfortable, contemporary setting.

Guests will catch on and having a new perspective on some of their favorite Pixar worlds and characters through carefully curated artwork, and décor that reveals the creative journey of the artists who helped bring these stories to life.

Upon arrival as they are welcomed into whimsical character moments like the iconic, Pixar Lamp balancing atop its ball in the lobby. Also one of the new additions that was announced will be a brand new “Finding Nemo”, themed splash pad area.

Also if you’re a fan of Great Maple, as a Southern California local favorite restaurant has brought over the team for sharing some good news! The flagship restaurant on the first floor will operate other food and beverage locations throughout Pixar Place Hotel. This modern American eatery specializes in upscale comfort food with a twist, serving fresh takes on American classics for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

What’s New Coming To Downtown Disney District:

It was shared from Disney that the evolution of Downtown Disney began back in 2018, and for the construction work on the latest transformation to introduce more innovative shopping, dining and entertainment experiences.

Drawing inspiration from Southern California mid-century modern architecture, the west-end area will be a beautiful blend of vibrant color palettes, design elements and patterns influenced by the region, and will include an open lawn for relaxation and future events, and an even broader and diverse collection of dining and shopping.

Also here’s a look for Din Tai Fung, as a world-renowned restaurant coming towards the District. Brining flavorful Chinese cuisine to Downtown Disney, where guests can enjoy dishes served family style in a creative space near our new lawn pavilion.

Also Porto’s Bakery & Café, a Southern California favorite known for its delectable pastries, is heading to Disneyland Resort. Known across the country for its sweet pastries and desserts, as well as delicious California Cuban-inspired dishes. The popular Cuban café chain currently has six locations located at Buena Park, Burbank, Glendale, Downey, West Covina and Northridge.

This will be the first ever location at the Anaheim location. The bakery & café on their site have stated if these locations are still too far, they also offer nationwide shipping for some of their products to bake at home. Some of their more popular items include their Cheese Rolls, Refugiados and Potato Balls.
