Universal Orlando’s Holiday Celebration Starts This Coming November 2017

The Universal Orlando Resort is another popular destination to bring in the holiday time period through out the whole resort and to celebrate the joy that brings families and friends together through out the period. Universal Orlando will be offering brand new offerings and experiences through out their season, starting up this November 18th-Janurary 6th, 2017.

Here’s some of those new offerings and experiences for the resort’s guests to enjoy for the seasonal layover.

Christmas in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter

The Christmas time period will be a first for The Wizarding World of Harry Potter and in which visiting guests will be surrounded by beautiful and themed Christmas decorations, as they walk the streets of Hogsmead and Diagon Alley. Festive treats to be themed around the holidays and special entertainment will be offered such as Celestina Warbeck and the Banshees. The main highlight through out the evening will be the highly anticipated, map projection show in which Universal Studios Hollywood’s map projection was first introduced earlier this year for their Wizarding World of Harry Potter.

The Hogwarts Castle will be showcasing visually-stunning map projection technology and lighting around the castle of the Christmas time period, from the blockbuster Harry Potter franchise.

Universal’s Holiday Parade featuring Macy’s

Universal is back at it again in their partnership with Macy’s, as the global leader for innovative balloon entertainment and to bring a brand new-parade towards Universal Orlando. The Holiday Parade with Macy’s will feature more then a dozen spectacular and festive balloons with highly detailed parade floats. Announced earlier this year will be the use of two Dreamworks Animation films of “Madagascar” and “Shrek” to be included with the parade and also from Illumination Entertainment’s “Despicable Me” “Minions” and of course Santa Claus.


The famous Christmas classic from Dr. Seuss’s “How The Grinch Stole Christmas” or known as Universal Orlando as “Grinchmas Who-liday Spectacular” in Seuss Landing at Islands of Adventure and the merry Whos from Who-ville as they come together to celebrate the important meaning of the holiday season and to bring Grinchmas to life. Selected dates that are on sale right now for guests in which, a festive character interaction with the Grinch himself and his fellow friends.

Holidays at Universal’s On-Site Hotels

All of Universal’s on-site hotels will feature holiday decorations and activities, including tree lighting, menorah lighting, and tasty food from Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Eve style buffets.

Mannheim Steamroller

One of the best selling holiday artists, Mannheim Steamroller returns for live performances to play on selected nights. Holiday classics like “18th Century Classical Rock” as holiday song favorite and for guests to hear in concert at the Universal Orlando Resort. Selected nights are to be performed from the following: Nov. 18, 19, 25, 26 and Dec. 2, 3, 9, 10, 16 and 17.

EVE at Universal Citywalk

To ring in the New Year and guests can dance the night and party away at Universal’s Citywalk for a New Year’s Eve celebration. It’s the biggest celebration throughout the whole year with the largest dance floor in the Orlando area with endless entertainment, dishes, and signature drinks. Tickets are sold separately and to be announced for when they go on sale.
