It will be a 19-month transition to complete and to find a replacement after Iger since Disney is under going the pressure to find one for them. Most likely that they want someone within company grounds and not bringing anyone from an outside company even Disney’s history has pulled in past CEO’s from companies that weren’t under their belt.
Chapek over took the company’s theme-parks division back in February 2015 to ensure that Disney’s most heavily-foreign invested and biggest park that they ever opened up for Shanghai Disneyland last year for it’s first year of operation of guest attendance up towards of 11 million visitors.
