Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway Gets An Opening Date At Disney’s Hollywood Studios

As the last big news and updated information release coming out from D23 Expo Japan for Mickey and Minnie’s first ever attraction opening up at Disney’s Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World and has now an official opening date!

Guests can ride along side the iconic duo next year for 2019 but, with no specific opening date as of right now. As previously announced at the D23 Expo in California last year in summer for the attraction will be utilizing the technology of 2 ½-D that require no glasses. Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway will feature a brand new and original catchy theme song created specifically for the attraction and making it an unbelievable experience for Walt Disney World guests.

Now here’ some updated details for the attraction and what guests can expect next year:

“On the attraction, the fun begins when you see the premiere of a new cartoon short with Mickey and Minnie getting ready for a picnic. As they head out, they drive alongside a train and find out that the engineer is Goofy. Then, one magical moment lets you step into the movie and on Goofy’s train for a wacky, wild ride.”

“Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway will put you inside the wacky and unpredictable world of a Mickey Mouse Cartoon Short where you’re the star and anything can happen. And for the first time, we shared a preview of what the cars will look like when you board the attraction for a zany, out-of-control adventure filled with surprising twists and turns.”

The teams behind the attraction are working with the fellow partners at Disney Television Animation and the people who have created the popular and award-winning Mickey shorts. To make it real and authentic and which both teams will making it and feel like you’re stepping through the screen to join Mickey and his friends like never before.
