Ever since it was announced last year for the Toy Story themed hotel will be coming towards the Tokyo Disneyland Resort in 2021 that will be the similar hotel design from Shanghai Disneyland that opened up in 2016. The resort will be under going a multi-year expansion plans as recently The Oriental Land Company revealed their huge Fantasyland expansion plans that will be in time for the Tokyo Summer Games in 2020.

The Oriental Land Company held a construction ceremony for breaking ground today for the Toy Story Hotel and was a traditional ceremony known as jichinsai (地鎮祭) – a groundbreaking ceremony performed prior to the construction of a house or other type of building (any building). From Disney•Pixar’s “Toy Story” will feature some of the iconic characters from the franchise from Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Jessie, Rex, the Green Aliens and more.
President CEO of The Oriental Land Company, Toshio Kagami and COO Kyoichiro Kaminishi attended today’s dedication ceremony with 30 other people.

It will hold up towards 600 rooms across 11 floors as the room will be inspired by Andy’s bedroom with vibrant and colorful furniture from the world of “Toy Story “. It will also feature dining and shopping options for the hotel. The opening time frame for the Toy Story Hotel will be some point in 2021.
