Disney’s next biggest project coming soon down the pipeline is expanding the Marvel Universe at the Avengers Campus coming to Disney California Adventure that was announced today at Disney’s Annual Shareholders meeting opening up on July 18th, 2020.
The announcement was made at the previous D23 Expo last year back in August that will be coming towards California, Hong Kong and Paris. Primarily focusing on California first in where their will be brand new attractions, food and of course your favorite characters within the Marvel Universe.
Now many of you are wondering what you can eat and drink when you experience the Avengers Campus this summer? In this post we will be breaking it all down for you and what food experiences are within the Marvel world!
Three new dining spots will be included in the Avengers Campus that will be both rich in flavor and immersive storytelling. These locations will be Pym’s Test Kitchen, Shawarma Place, and Terran Treats.

In addition with all of this, will be called Pym Tasting Lab that will act like a bar type service.
From Marvel’s “Ant Man & The Wasp” will be about “food innovation in a science lab” over at Pym’s Testing Kitchen as this will be the main sit-down restaurant as the food be utilizing “Pym Particles” that will grown and shrink just about anything. Pym Technologies applies this innovative science to the creation of shareable bites, inventive-sized entrees and sweet treats.

“Superheroes don’t normally open restaurants, but what they would do is use their technology to help the world,” Walt Disney Imagineering’s Jillian Pagan said during a recent press preview event of the new land. “So that’s the story of our Pym Test Kitchen.”
The “Quantum Pretzel” will be a giant pretzel that will be served with mustard and beer cheese dipping sauce. A conveyor belt will be transporting regular-sized pretzel into a quantum tunnel and just like that will come out giant sized!

Normal foods will be served as well such as Caesar salad with colossal crouton towards a “Not So Little” Chicken Sandwich which features a large piece of fried chicken breast (dressed with teriyaki, red chili sauces and pickled cabbage slaw) on a mini bun.

The “Pym-ini,” a panini on toasted focaccia with salami, rosemary ham, provolone, sun-dried tomato mayonnaise and arugula with a marinara dipping sauce. It can be served just by slices or a long portion sandwich.

For those seeking the sweeter side of things, as their will be a “PB Supberb Sandwich”. It will have peanut butter, banana, smoked bacon and strawberry jelly. The sandwich is served with a banana smoothie shot and crispy potato tots.

Their will be a vegetarian option called the “Impossible Spoonful”, a dish of rigatoni and ditalini pastas with plant-based meatballs and cheese, chunky tomato sauce and basil served in a giant spoon with a tiny fork.

Kids will have plenty of options to choose from such as mini versions of the pasta and Impossible meatballs, the chicken sandwich and a make-your-own PB & J sandwich.
Dessert options include, a decadent candy bar made with caramel, nougat, peanuts and chocolate brownie that’s covered in dark chocolate.
Pym’s Test Kitchen will be serving up specialty drinks to wash it all down. Pingo Doce, a green soda with hints of lime and vanilla will be brought to life with a Coca-Cola Freestyle Machine. This a reference towards Bruce Banner’s spending his time in a soda company’s bottle plant in Rio De Janerio Another non-alcoholic drink option is the “Proton PB & J Punch,” Odwalla Lemonade with flavors of strawberry and peanut butter, topped with house-made infused peanut butter whipped cream and peanut butter-covered pretzel bites.

Pym’s Tasting Lab that is adjacent near Pym’s Test Kitchen, that will be an outdoor seating area where guests can eat and be serving up adult beverages. The menu at the lab are different kinds of cocktails, such as the “X-Periment” made with tequila, lime juice, habanero and mango syrup. Another tequila-based drink is “The Regulator,” made with lime juice, habanero, mango syrup, Golden Road Mango Cart Wheat Ale and topped with mango flavored popping pearls.

Gin drinkers can lay back with the “Honey Buzz” made with gin, lemon juice, honey premium syrup, elysian space dust, IPA and can be drunk through an edible honey straw. Perfectly on brand with the hard seltzer craze is the “Particle Fizz,” made with endless summer, hard seltzer and cherry flavored pearls.
An innovative cocktail on the menu over at the tasting lab is the “Molecular Meltdown,” made with Garage Brewing Marshmallow Milk Stout and vanilla ice cream and is topped with mini marshmallows.

Eight different beers will be on tap, including a domestic beer, a hazy IPA, a blood orange hefeweizen, a wheat ale, and an amber lager. Wine will also be available, including a cabernet and a chardonnay.
Thor fans will be pleased if you remember the encounter between Doctor Strange and Thor in “Thor: Ragnarok” as Marvel fans will be getting a kick out of a reverse draft system where the glasses fill from the bottom. Giving it the illusion of where Strange refilled Thor’s glass with his favorite beverage for beer according to Insider.

“We’re excited to be able to put a reverse tap system in,” said director of food and beverage experience integration for Disneyland Resort, Michele Gendreau. “That magic will be able to be seen from our guests at the counter when they come up to the Pym Tasting Lab.”
“Pint-Sized Pints Mini Beer Flight” and “Snack Molecules,” which is a mix of popped sorghum, mini pretzels and honey roasted peanuts.

The Shawarma Place from Marvel’s “The Avengers” (2012) will be Disney California Adventure’s best kept Easter eggs and throwback of where the original Avengers sat down and grab a bite to eat during the Battle of New York City. We all can thank Tony Stark aka (Iron Man) when he suggested the joint towards the rest of the original Avengers and will be the second location on the Avengers Campus.

“Enjoy favorite shawarma-inspired snacks at this food cart, which is decked out with memorabilia since the Shawarma Palace owners are huge Avenger fans”
“We were quite excited to entice him to open a second location,” said Michele Gendreau, director of Food & Beverage at Walt Disney Parks and Resorts. “The Shawarma Palace for heroes on the go I think will be very satisfying for our guests.”
Two options of the hand-held wrap: one has chicken, a creamy lemon yogurt-tahini dipping sauce and picked vegetables, while the other swaps out meat for Impossible plant-based falafel and crusted cauliflower.

More dessert options will be offered from a galaxy from out of this world from Marvel’s “Guardians of the Galaxy” and look no further for the Terran Treats cart (Terran is a term known as human) which can be founded near Guardians of the Galaxy- Mission: Breakout! attraction. Taneleer Tivan (aka the Collector) is curating a weird and wonderful menu of intergalactic eats, including churro spirals and cosmic cream orbs in vibrant colors, to lure people to his fortress.
These tasty and sweet treats include “Sweet Spiral Ration Churros” and the “Cosmic Cream Puff”.

“They have this crazy, alien-looking food that you think is going to taste like one thing and tastes like something totally different,” said Pagan, who clarified the food isn’t creepy like Tivan.
The churros are suppose to resemble six of the different Infinity Stones from red, blue, orange, yellow, purple and green. Each of the churros taste a different flavor. The cream puff has a whipped raspberry cheesecake mousse and as reference towards the purple Infinity Stone from the first “Guardians of the Galaxy’ film.
Pricing was not mention for those two dessert items.
